What "klow peptide" names, and what it does not
KLOW is a trade name for a four-peptide vial: KPV (the tripeptide Lys-Pro-Val, 342 Da), GHK-Cu (the copper tripeptide, 340 Da as the bare peptide), BPC 157 (fifteen residues, 1,419 Da) and TB-500 (the seven-residue thymosin beta-4 fragment, 889 Da). The K in the name is the KPV; without that component the vial is GLOW, and the two are otherwise the same three peptides in the same kind of cake. Searches for "klow peptide" find dozens of sellers using the name, and no two of them are bound to the same recipe, because there is no recipe: KLOW is not a compound, a standard or a monograph, it is a label. LabFirst's vial is 80 mg in total and the component breakdown is on the lot certificate.
Four peptides in one cake is the hardest thing in this catalogue to document properly. Two of them, KPV and GHK-Cu, are tripeptides of almost the same mass (342 and 340 Da), which means a laboratory has to resolve them by retention time and confirm each by its exact mass rather than by a rough one; a certificate that reports "tripeptide, 340 Da" has not told you which of the two it saw, or whether it saw both. Add the copper assay that any GHK-Cu product needs and a KLOW certificate has at least six measurements in it before purity is mentioned, which is why a one-line certificate for this vial is a stronger warning than it would be for any single compound.
Each component has its own research record, all cell and animal work, cited individually at the foot of this page; nothing is published on the four together and nothing here describes a use. The chemistry is what a buyer can hold a seller to: four known molecules, four known masses, one copper ratio, and a laboratory that found all of them in one vial.
There is no single molecule to weigh. The volume tiers are per size, not per basket: ten vials of one size take 10% off that line and twenty take 15%, and mixed sizes do not combine. KLOW costs more than GLOW at LabFirst by the price of the KPV and the extra ten milligrams, which is about what the arithmetic says it should. Elsewhere the spread is enormous, and it tracks one number: the BPC 157 share. Three of the four components are inexpensive tripeptides and a heptapeptide; the fifteen-residue BPC 157 is most of the synthesis cost, so a KLOW vial's fair price moves with how much of it is BPC 157, and that is the figure listings omit. Comparing two KLOW prices per milligram without both breakdowns is comparing two unknowns.
For a laboratory that needs defined amounts of all four, the comparison is four single vials with four certificates against one blend with a per-component breakdown, and LabFirst lists all five so the sums can be done on one page. The blend saves a vial, a freeze-drying run and three laboratory tests; it costs control over the ratio, which is set by the seller. There is no general answer, only the arithmetic for the amounts a particular laboratory needs.
The certificate a KLOW lot must carry
Three tests answer three different questions, and a certificate of analysis for KLOW is only complete when it carries all three for the exact lot on the vial. Identity for a blend means one confirmed mass per component: KPV at 342.227 Da, GHK-Cu at 340.186 Da, BPC 157 at 1418.704 Da, TB-500 at 888.492 Da. A single mass for the vial is not an identity result.
Purity is a separate question, answered by HPLC: how much of what came off the column was the compound. The figure is only interpretable with its method beside it (column, gradient, detection wavelength) and a date, which is what ICH Q2(R2) means when it asks that an analytical procedure be shown fit for its purpose. A percentage with no method and no date is a number somebody typed, and a certificate that carries every test but for a different lot number than the vial is the most common failure of all and the easiest to catch. Net content is the third test and the one most often missing: the milligrams of KLOW actually in the vial, measured, against the size printed on the label.
Identity for KLOW means four observed masses on one certificate: 342.23 Da for KPV, 340.19 Da for GHK (or 402.11 Da for the copper complex), 1418.70 Da for BPC 157 and 888.49 Da for TB-500. The two tripeptides are two daltons apart, so the certificate must show the exact masses and the two separate peaks, not a rounded figure that could be either. Copper gets its own line, as a percentage of the powder, because the ratio of copper to peptide is what makes GHK-Cu the complex rather than peptide with copper salt stirred in.
Purity is per component from a single HPLC run, and net content is per component in milligrams adding up to the 80 mg on the label. That last line is the whole value of the certificate to a buyer: KPV and GHK-Cu are cheap, TB-500 is cheap, BPC 157 is not, and an 80 mg vial that is 60 mg of tripeptides and 20 mg of everything else is a different product at a different fair price from one weighted the other way. Without the breakdown there is no per-milligram price for anything in the vial. Ask for it first; a seller who has it shows it.
Where to buy KLOW: five checks before you order from anyone
Every seller of klow peptide says "third-party tested". The phrase costs nothing. These five checks take about four minutes per listing and separate a tested lot from a tested-sounding one.
- The lot on the vial is the lot on the certificate. Read the printed lot number, then open the certificate and match it. A certificate for "KLOW" with no lot, or a lot that does not match, describes some other vial.
- The laboratory is named and has its own lookup. The report should come from a laboratory the seller does not own, with a search code you can enter on the laboratory's own site. LabFirst lots are tested by Freedom Diagnostics and looked up by accession number; anything that can only be verified on the seller's own page has not been verified.
- The theoretical mass is printed, and it is the right one. For KLOW that means one mass per component.
- Purity has a method and a date. An HPLC percentage should name the method and the run date. A figure that reads "99%+" with neither, or one date reused across every product a seller lists, is decoration.
- Net content is stated in milligrams. The label size is a claim; the certificate's net content is the measurement. If the certificate has no net content line, the purity figure describes the powder, not the vial, and the price per mg you calculated is fiction.
How listings for KLOW specifically mislead:
- "KLOW 80 mg" with no component breakdown. The eighty milligrams could be weighted toward the cheap tripeptides or toward BPC 157, and the fair price differs several-fold between those.
- A certificate reporting "tripeptide, 340 Da" once. KPV (342 Da) and GHK (340 Da) are two daltons apart; one rounded mass cannot show that both are present.
- One purity figure for the vial. Four peptides need four masses, four purities and four net contents; a single percentage measured none of them.
- A white or colourless KLOW product. The GHK-Cu makes the cake blue-violet and the solution blue; without that colour the copper complex is absent.
How to verify a LabFirst KLOW lot
The KLOW sizes in stock today carry lot LF-2608-15. Lot LF-2608-15 is at Freedom Diagnostics on accession FD-2026-05716 for identity, purity and net content. Until the report is attached the product page says "pending verification" against that lot and makes no purity claim; the price stands and the report goes live the day it arrives, on the page, at /coa/, and inside the receipt and packing slip for every order of that lot.
Verification runs through the laboratory, not through us. A four-peptide blend is stored to suit its most demanding member, and here that is GHK-Cu: hygroscopic, sensitive to water and to chelating buffers, and blue-violet when intact. The colour is the built-in check, as it is for GLOW; a KLOW cake that has gone green, brown or damp has taken on water through the copper. KPV, TB-500 and BPC 157 are comparatively robust powders with no cysteine or methionine to oxidise. Sealed at 2 to 8 C, out of light, opened once and never re-sealed for storage, the cake keeps its weight and its colour. A KLOW vial with that record behind it can be traced from the bench to the laboratory report in one step; without it, the certificate is a document about a vial that can no longer be identified.
Regulatory status, and what this page is not
No approved medicine contains KLOW and no monograph could, since the blend has no fixed composition. All four components were placed in Category 2 of the FDA's interim 503A bulk substances list in September 2023 (KPV, GHK-Cu with a route qualifier, BPC-157, and Thymosin Beta-4 Fragment LKKTETQ), the category for substances the agency identified as raising significant safety risks, which bars licensed pharmacies from compounding with them; BPC 157's entry has since moved for advisory committee review. Those listings concern pharmacies, not laboratory material, and are quoted because no component of KLOW can be called pharmaceutical grade by anyone.
