What is KPV, and what is it used for?
KPV is also listed and searched as Lys-Pro-Val, KPV peptide. They all mean the same compound. Supplier lists write it as KPV peptides or peptide KPV as well; every one of those is this record. A name is not a test, which is why the lot record further down counts for more than the wording on a label.
Chemically: molecular formula C16H30N4O4, average mass 342.43 g/mol (PubChem CID 125672). Those figures are what the identity test on a certificate is read against.
A man-made three-building-block peptide, the tail end of the hormone alpha-MSH.
It matches the last three building blocks of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone. Published work covers melanocortin-related signalling in cells and animals, and the details are not settled.
It appears in animal and cell research on inflammation.
No approved product. As a three-building-block piece it does not do everything the whole hormone does, and should not be described as if it did.

Volume tiers are per size and do not combine across sizes (see bulk pricing). Subscribe & Save takes 6% every month, 4% every 2 months or 2% every 3 months off from shipment 2, two shipments minimum, and stacks on the volume tier: the lowest this record ever bills is $3.92 per mg, twenty 10mg vials on a monthly subscription from shipment 2 onward.
Nothing is added at checkout except the USPS shipping you choose; dispatch and delivery are the same on every order. The cost-per-milligram tool ranks the whole catalog by price per mg. The certificate walked through field by field: Where to Buy KPV Peptide: Five Checks Before You Order.
Where to buy KPV: what to check before you order from anyone
Where to get KPV, and how to buy KPV online
KPV for sale, or KPV peptide for sale, means this page: one record, 1 size. You can buy KPV online here with guest checkout, and purchase KPV or order KPV in any size below; verified in-stock orders placed before 12 PM Pacific are dispatched the same day. If the question is where to get KPV or how to get KPV, the answer for a US laboratory is a supplier who publishes the certificate before you pay, which is the first of the five checks that follow. A KPV supplier, vendor or source worth using will show you the lot number and where its certificate can be verified.
Before ordering KPV from anyone, us included, run the 5 checks on verifying a certificate; the first is that the report resolves on the laboratory's own site, and a seller who cannot pass them is asking for the trust a certificate exists to replace.
KPV reviews
No customer review of KPV has been published yet, so there is no star rating here; when real ones exist the number will be the arithmetic of what people wrote. Ordered this record? Leave a review. A person reads every one before it appears.
KPV capsules, oral form or cream or serum? What this vial is, and is not
Search results for KPV also show capsules, oral form, cream or serum products, under listing titles such as kpv peptide capsules, oral kpv peptide, kpv peptide oral, kpv oral peptide, kpv peptide cream, kpv peptide pills. Those are finished consumer goods made and marketed by other companies, and none of them is what this page sells. This record is freeze-dried KPV in a sealed glass vial, 10mg, with a lot certificate, supplied for laboratory work. Its certificate describes that powder, not a capsule, spray or cream, which carry other ingredients and sit under different rules.

The KPV certificate: lot, purity, identity, and how to verify it
A certificate answers identity, purity and net content as three separate questions, each with the method that produced it and the date it was run, how to read one covers what each field does and does not cover. For KPV that means a mass spectrum landing on 342.43 g/mol for C16H30N4O4, the figure published against PubChem CID 125672. The cataloged form is Lys-Pro-Val, and the identity test resolves to that rather than to a related molecule with a similar name.
| Size | Lot | Identity method | Purity | Endotoxin · sterility · fentanyl | Test date |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10mg | LF-16A-2609 | LC-MS | 99.619% (RP-HPLC, C18, DAD @ 214 nm) | 2026-09-29 |
Testing by Kovera Labs. Every batch tested on or after October 1, 2026 includes endotoxin, sterility and fentanyl screening, in addition to identity, purity and net content. Open the report, then confirm it on the issuing laboratory's own site. If the identifier does not resolve there, or resolves to a different lot than the one printed on your vial, the document is worthless however convincing it looks.
The lot number on the certificate must match the lot printed on the vial you received. That match is the only thing tying the document to your material. Net content is reported separately from purity, because a vial can be highly pure and still hold less material than its label states.

Is KPV a prescription drug? FDA status, and what this listing is
FDA status, and what this listing is Not an FDA-approved drug product
The FDA has not approved this compound for anything, and nothing in this catalog is a medicine.
Status verified 2026-08-25. Check the primary source before relying on this summary.
It is sold as laboratory material under the research-use restriction below. Being listed is not an approval, and not a claim that it is safe, effective or right for any purpose. LabFirst is not a pharmacy or a compounding facility, this vial is not a compounded medicine, and no prescription is involved, because it is not sold for use in anyone.
KPV research: what the published studies examine
Status: No FDA-approved application. This compound is sold as laboratory material. Where research on it has been published, it sits at the animal, cell or early-human stage, and this record does not summarize what it found. A supplier is not a neutral judge of evidence about its own catalog.
KPV is the last three building blocks of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone, and the shortest piece that keeps the parent hormone’s anti-inflammatory activity. What sets it apart from the rest of the melanocortin family here is that its anti-inflammatory action does not seem to need a melanocortin receptor at all. Instead it is carried into cells by a transporter called PepT1, which sits at low levels in a healthy colon and rises sharply in inflamed gut lining.
That pattern is the interesting part: a transporter that appears where the inflammation is gives a route into the affected tissue without the body-wide effects that alpha-MSH itself carries. Once inside, the reported effect is turning down inflammatory signalling, with less TNF-alpha among the things measured.
| Reported observation | Model | Source |
|---|---|---|
| KPV packed into coated nanoparticles was delivered to colon lining cells and immune cells, appeared non-toxic to gut cells, and in a mouse model of colitis reduced damage to the gut lining and turned down TNF-alpha, doing better than the untargeted nanoparticle it was compared against. | cultured intestinal cells and macrophages, and a mouse ulcerative colitis model | Xiao and colleagues, Orally targeted delivery of tripeptide KPV via hyaluronic acid-functionalized nanoparticles efficiently alleviates ulcerative colitis, Molecular Therapy (2017)The paper is as much about the delivery vehicle as the peptide. Free KPV was not the intervention tested. |
| In a colon-targeted nanoparticle system built around KPV’s strong affinity for the PepT1 transporter, mice with chemically induced colitis improved on body weight, colon length and a disease activity score. Notably the carrier without its drug payload also produced marked effects, which the authors put down to KPV’s own anti-inflammatory activity. | DSS-induced colitis in BALB/c mice | Wu and colleagues, A PepT1 mediated medicinal nano-system for targeted delivery of cyclosporine A to alleviate acute severe ulcerative colitis, Biomaterials Science (2019) |
Open questions. The biggest gap here is about packaging rather than pharmacology. Both studies above deliver KPV inside an engineered nanoparticle designed to survive the upper gut and gather in inflamed colon, and that targeting is a large part of why the peptide reached its destination at all. Results obtained that way do not carry over to plain peptide by any route, and that distinction tends to disappear from summaries of this compound.
Beyond that: the work is in rodent colitis models, there are no controlled human trials, and the PepT1 route, while well supported as a way in, has not been shown to be the only pathway involved. KPV is also widely marketed for skin and whole-body inflammation, which is a considerable stretch from a gut transporter that appears specifically in inflamed intestine.
Each row above describes an observation in the stated model. None of it describes what KPV would do in a person or an animal outside that model, and none of it is a recommendation to use it for anything.
How to store KPV: refrigeration and shelf life
Keep the sealed vial cold and out of the light and it stays as it left the lab. Once it is mixed into a solution, how long it holds up depends on the compound, what it was mixed with, how strong the solution is and how cold it is kept — too many variables for anyone to print one shelf life on a label. So laboratories write the date on whatever they prepare and keep their own record of it.
For solution preparation arithmetic on the bench, concentration, per-graduation values and molarity, use the vial concentration calculator, which opens with the KPV sizes stocked here already loaded. It covers laboratory measurement only and contains no administration guidance.
