The pharmacology is well established and the practical warning follows from it rather than from any uncertainty: continuous GnRH receptor stimulation suppresses the reproductive axis rather than stimulating it, which is the opposite of what the receptor identity naively suggests and is exactly how the clinical GnRH agonists achieve their effect.
